SCAMPER
Today at Enrich we did SCAMPER. Scamper has a meaning for every letter. S means substitute, C means combine, A means adapt, M means mega/mini, P means put to other uses, E means eliminate, R means reverse. My group used a headset. For S we used the cord as a rope to tie me up. For C we combined Kavarn's jacked with the headset and used it as a coat hanger . For A we plugged it in to the news paper and pretended that you could just listen to it. For M we put it on one of the monsters. For P we used it as a whip. For E we took away half of it. For R we took a photo of Kavarn wearing them upside down.

Debating
Today before lunch we did debating with Alana. Debating is an argument about the same thing but they are either against it or they agree with it. Ours was about if the Christchurch cathedral should be knocked down or not. I was on the team that was wanting it to be knocked down. Some of the ideas that we came up with was it's a safety risk. Another was it will cost too much to rebuild on what's already there. I think it should be knocked down and rebuilt.

Talent Development
Today at talent development we made sherbet. The ingredients were,
Icing sugar
Raro
Baking soda
Tartaric acid
Citric acid.
We mixed it all together in a bowl and Katie gave us some each in a resealable bag.
It looked liked this:

We also made some bread. I'm not sure what the ingredients are but this is what it turned out like.

Well done on a productive session during science talent development last Wednesday. You have been an active member of our group throughout the term, showing your interest by questioning the activities we have been completing. The lava lamps showed an instant reaction, whereas the steel wool and vinegar would have taken a lot longer - but great to see the start of this reaction by using the heat sensor and the data-logger. You are beginning to detail your hypothesis more by explaining why you think something is going happen. Well done Hyrum.

Talent development
Today at Enrich we chose a new group for talent development. My group is science with Katie. Today we looked through the science lab that we will be using. You can plug in some sensors like a thermometer and a light sensor that measures how bright the light is. Katie said that it was kind of weird that one of yesterdays groups results was the opposite to ours today. Today one of the experiments was to test if different types of light were constant or fluctuating. We tested the lights of a lamp, a candle, a remote control and a dinoscope. We found that the dinoscope and the remote control fluctuated the most and the lamp and the candle were the most constant.

Term three reflection
This term my two stars would be first learning how to use iMovie. I know how to use it because that's what we made our documentaries on. The second one is making a documentary. Before the start of this term I hardly new what a documentary was. My wish is that we could make another documentary next term about what we wanted to because I would do mine on animals.
